Twitter and Making Plans

Is anyone catching sight of the sun today?  I ask because my twitter feed is pretty much full of rain, hail and even snow in Bath, totally derailing any planned gardening activities.  So what now?  Well Derek has gone off to Waitrose to buy the ingredients for Chilli Jam and Apricot & Orange Chutney.  Thank you to Stephen from Victoriana Nursery Gardens for the inspiration.

And me? Well once I’ve finished perusing the super cute #dogsunderduvets on the @LibertyLndnGirl timeline I’ll be working my way through these that have accumulated in the last couple of months.

Looking for inspiration and making plans.

Let me know in the comments what your plans for the day are.

Garden too wet, plot too wet, both saturated with all the rain this year. Sort out all the camera gear clean a digital sensor, invest in two items I have long thought about, a graduated neutral density filter for sunsets and a ring flash for my macro lens, oh and while typing this decided to buy a good but used Nikon D70s old but ideal for my use with the macro lens. so the moral is, get out in the garden it`s much cheaper.

I should really let D. reply to this he is the camera buff, I always show him your pictures, but yes far cheaper. We had a few hours clearing up the plot yesterday, would have like to carry on today but good to get some of these other jobs done.

It’s been beautiful up north?! Now there’s a first. I spent the day snooping around my parents allotments, getting ideas for next year. Very, very cold though. I like the idea of chilli jam, I have tons of chillies left 🙂

Anna, thank you so much for taking the time to read and your kind comments. We made the River Cottage Recipe and a allotment pal of ours uses Nigella Lawson, neither have enough pectin in to make a good set, so something to bear in mind if you try, will post about it later in the week. Glad to hear you had such a lovely day.
