Pleasing Surprises

Prompted by the gorgeous weather at the weekend I went to the plot for the first time this year with the intention of clearing the greenhouse out. This was what I found.

Admittedly they didn’t look so glam on the plant.

But given that towards the end of last year they were resolutely green and the leaves had withered in the first frost, I had given up all hope of them ever ripening.

I can’t tell you when I planted them because of my already mentioned sketchy record keeping, but it was very late, the variety is Duchy Originals Sweet Pepper ‘Atris’ F1 Hybrid from here
